The Peguis Membership is encouraged to remain mindful of potential water quality concerns during periods of high water.

Past flooding events and periods of elevated water levels have shown that contaminants from surrounding areas, including agricultural operations located south of our community, can be carried into local waterways and may affect water quality. While monitoring continues, we encourage all community members to remain alert and report any concerns.

Please contact the Peguis Health Department if you notice any unusual changes in your water, including:

  • Changes in colour, taste, or odour
  • Increased cloudiness or sediment
  • Any other signs that raise concerns about the safety or quality of your water

Protecting the health and well-being of our families, Elders, children, and all community members is a shared responsibility. Prompt reporting helps ensure a timely response and allows us to keep the community informed.

The Peguis Health Department will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as necessary.

If you have questions or concerns regarding your water, please contact the Peguis Health Department @ 204-645-2169.
